Our next huge Boise Blues Society show – Golden State/Lone Star Blues Revue (Monday Sept 26, Sapphire Room) includes a pair of legendary guitarists: Charlie Baty – more than 3 decades with Little Charlie and the Nightcats – and Anson Funderburgh – many years as Anson and the Rockets. Now teamed with iconic harp blower/vocalist Mark Hummel, bassist RW Grigsby and drummer Wes Starr, they form this incredible supergroup! Boise Blues Society is thrilled to present blues supergroup Golden State/Lone Star Blues Revue, on Monday September 26, at the Sapphire Room in the Riverside Hotel, 7:30pm. This promises to be a fabulous night of the best in traditional blues played by an extraordinary new collaboration of long-time blues illuminaries!

Here’s another opportunity for the public to hear blues regularly in Treasure Valley, and for local blues musicians to play for their fans.
Established California Bay Area blues artist and new Idaho resident/BBS member Gary Tackett is now hosting a Blues & Brews Music Series every Thursday at Six Degrees in Nampa from 8:30-11pm. The series features a variety of songwriters in the Boise area in a Q&A show setting where artists talk about each song and its origin.
Gary has invited BBS artists and other interested musicians who write originals to contact him at 209-221-2426 about doing a guest shot on the series. Guest artist does 45-60 minutes solo acoustic or electric and receives $75 for the appearance.
Six Degrees is located at 1411 Shilo Drive in Nampa.
