Blues on the Banks 2018, Caldwell, August 3-4

This year’s 21st annual Blues on the Banks comes to Caldwell, Friday and Saturday, August 3-4. It promises to be another great blues weekend headlined by a talented long-time touring blues icon. This year’s headliner is Scott Ellison, talented singer-songwriter, guitarist, and blues-rocker from Tulsa. Ellison is a veteran of more than 40 years playing the blues professionally, still going strong with some 200 shows a year throughout North America.

The event will feature 2 nights of entertainment again this year. Popular local blues band, Jake Leg, will open Saturday’s show at 6:30pm, and Ellison will headline immediately after. Jake Leg will also play Friday night, Aug 3, 8-10pm. Another local blues band, Deborah Michels Gang, will open Friday night, 7-8pm. Both are all ages shows. 12 and under free. Over 12 will need a ticket. Doors open one hour before show time each night.

The best deal is to purchase your weekend passes in advance, both shows for just $15, online or hard copy prior to the show date. Printed tickets are available at Stewart’s, and at Printcraft, 2614 E Cleveland Blvd, Caldwell. The $15 weekend passes are available online now at

If you can only attend Friday Night’s Show, admission to that show only is $5 cover (cash please) at the door. Saturday’s door price will be $20 (if still available).

We’re proud to bring yet another entertainer of Scott’s talent and blues heritage to this popular event. Recent shows have sold out, including the past 2 years with Dennis Jones and Studebaker John.

“Ellison is a prolific songwriter, and his work reflects influences from the British Blues Invasion, Motown, and Memphis rhythm and blues.” –Blues in Britain
