The Sapphire Room and Boise Blues Society welcome one of the Treasure Valley’s newest bands, the Blues Saviors, featuring award-winning, international blues rocker Tim “Too Slim” Langford.
The Blues Saviors features Tim “Too Slim” Langford of Too Slim and the Taildraggers, veteran blues guitarist and Seattle-area transplant “Tim Childs”, local bass guitar legend Bob Umphress, and SF Bay-area transplant and local drum legend Barry Carlman. Together, they deliver a unique combination of blues and blues-based rock that ranges from Elmore James and Muddy Waters, to the blues-rock styles of Eric Clapton, Robin Trower and Joe Bonamassa. The band also features the original music of Tim Langford from his catalog with Too Slim and the Taildraggers.
Langford’s band the Taildraggers were nominated for “Blues Rock Album of the Year” by the Blues Federations Blues Music Awards in Memphis. They are also in the Hall of Fame in Three NW Blues Societies in Portland, Seattle and Spokane. Come check out one of Boise’s newest all-star bands in The Sapphire Room!
