This blues cruise, Boise’s first ever, promises to be a lot of fun. A luxury cruiser will pick us up at noon on Sunday, June 24. We’ll ride to McCall in style with snacks, games, prizes and live music by Russ Martin and Richard Soliz on the way.
Then we’ll board the good ship Idaho for a two-hour cruise of Payette Lake! More snacks, a full bar and live music during our cruise by Scott Wallenburg of The Blues Addicts, and the Gary Tackett trio. After the cruise, we’ll ride back to Boise with more live music and fun.
Only 75 tickets will be sold for this event at Eventbrite.com so don’t wait too long if you’d like to go. This is a fund-raiser for Radio Boise and a fun-raiser for blues fans.

The John Clifton Blues Band will play the Sapphire Room on Saturday, April 7th.

One of the best loved bluesmen in California, John Clifton, is releasing a new album called “Night Life” soon. He will be playing tunes from that album as well as his usual West Coast to Chicago Blues, classic R&B and Soul to some hard driving vintage Rock’n’Roll.
John and his fantastic band gave us one of our best shows ever in May of 2016. Clifton has solidified himself as one of Central California’s most in demand Blues frontmen since he started in the late ’80’s and we’re excited to have him back in Boise on Saturday, April 7th, 2018.
Our shows have been selling out and John’s last appearance at the Sapphire was a sellout so don’t wait to grab those tickets!
Many tables in the Sapphire Room are at bar height. Those requiring lower or ADA accessible seating will be most comfortable at the following tables: 25, 28, 33, 35, 36, 41, 60, or at the bar. For questions about accessible seating, please call 208-331-4930 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Johnny Rawls returns to Boise for a St. Patrick’s Day Party at The Playhouse, 8001 W. Fairview Avenue. Johnny has been nominated for the Blues Foundation’s Blues Music Awards for 2018 in both Soul Blues Male Artist and Soul Blues Album categories. His latest album, Waiting For the Train, shot straight to #1 on soul blues charts upon release last September. This blues legend has been our guest before and was a featured performer at the Boise Blues Society’s Blues Festival last summer. He has developed a real fan base so get your tickets early!
One of Boise’s favorites groups, Smooth Avenue, will once again take the stage to back Rawls for this show so you know The Playhouse will be rockin’ and the dance floor will be full right to the very last song.

We’re so very proud to say that 5 young musicians, all of them former Boise Blues Society Music Scholarship Winners – are putting on a special show at Ironwood Social, 5467 North Glenwood Street on Saturday, February 17th.
They’re paying it forward by raising funds for future Scholarships and for our Blues In the Schools program.

Zack Quintana; Thomas Wilson; Noble Holt; Kevin Littrell; Casey Shelden and friends are performing live. It’s a fun-raiser!
Special thanks to Steve Hall of “the Blues Groove” for being uh, instrumental, in arranging this great event.
