The SILVERBACKS feature two lead guitarists, David Moss and Mike Trail, bassist Don Cunningham, and consummate drummer Lawson Hill. Robert Sutherland provides tasty keyboards, and the band will be featuring some surprise guest artists to spice things up!

Presented by the Boise Blues Society.

Don’t miss Hamilton Loomis as he returns to the stage at Watson’s on Wednesday, May 22nd. Born and raised in Galveston, Texas, Loomis is the son of musician parents who listened to blues, rock and soul. Music ran in his veins and, with instruments readily available around the house, he picked up drums, piano, guitar and harmonica, honing his multi-instrumental talent in addition to performing regularly as part of his family’s doo-wop group.

A protégé of Bo Diddley, Loomis met the icon backstage at the age of 16 at Houston’s famed venue Rockefeller’s. Before the night was over, Loomis was onstage playing guitar with the legend.

Presented by the Boise Blues Society.

You won’t want to miss Anni Piper at Watson’s on Saturday June 15th. One listen will tell you why in her homeland Anni Piper is known as the First Lady of Blues. Not only is she a sultry vocalist, but an insightful composer, accomplished bass player and show stopping performer. Born and raised in Australia, her passion for blues was ignited by the sound of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Piper has called the United States home since 2014.

Presented by the Boise Blues Society. This programming is supported in part by the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The official monthly Boise Blues Society Jam is ALWAYS on the last Sunday of each month, but does not occur in December. A host band is featured playing the blues in two mini-sets at the beginning and end of the jam. Backline is provided for jammers. The Jam is open to all ages. Younger players are encouraged to attend to listen, play and learn from more experienced musicians. There is a voluntary donation of $5.00 to help cover costs of the host band.

Bring your Blues and have some fun at Watson’s Theatre on Fairview in Boise – the action starts at 2:00pm and ends at 6pm.
