Get your blues on every Tuesday evening in June at Blues Tuesdays hosted by the Idaho Blues Society at the Sandbar Patio & Grill, the Riverside Hotel’s outdoor venue by the Boise River in Garden City. The Sandbar, located at 2900 Chinden Blvd, is an all-ages venue that offers a full-service bar and fresh, grilled cuisine.
Here’s the schedule of blues bands playing 5 – 8 p.m. on Blues Tuesdays this summer:
June 3 —Too Wound Up Trio playing rockin’ traditional blues chestnuts of the 50’s and 60’s from Muddy Waters, BB King, Slim Harpo, Willie Dixon and more
June 10 — Trials and Tribulations Blues Band, originating in San Francisco, playing well known blues covers as well as many originals written and sung by four of the members
June 17 — Main Event getting you up and dancing to a wide selection of blues and blues-rock songs
June 24 — Blues Addicts offering up your favorite songs made famous by such greats as Eric Clapton, the Allman Brothers, and the Chicago Blues masters
July 1 — Gary Tackett & Full Moon Rude featuring the “Guitarist to the Stars” and his band sharing their rockin’ roadhouse blues
July 8 — Silverbacks playing a variety of Chicago, British, and West Coast blues as well as their own compositions and other fun dance tunes
July 15 — Trials and Tribulations Blues Band playing well known blues covers as well as many originals written and sung by four of the members
July 22 — Poverty Flats, with a passion for the blues and rock, bringing the two styles together in a unique style of music
July 29 — Deb Michels Gang, described by fans as “charisma, power, soul – amazing music from amazing musicians, entertaining you with their mix of danceable blues originals and covers
August 5 — Jeff Engelbert Band, a group of seasoned musicians with more than 35 years’ experience among them, playing blues and rock classics from every era as well as their own originals that you can sit back relax to and, when the mood strikes, dance your heart out
August 12 — Blues to Lose, a blues-savvy, classic-rock cover band, playing songs by such artists as the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Robert Cray and many more. Bring your dancing shoes—this band loves to see people dancing!
August 19 — The Main Event coming back to rock you with their hot blues playlist
August 26 — Deb Michels Gang returning to belt out their playlist of blues originals and classics
