Wipe Away the Blues Fundraiser at JUMP Sept 29

Astegos.org in association with The Boise Blues Society, The Boise Philharmonic, The Idaho Diaper Bank and The Downtown Boise Neighborhood Association will host a daylong outdoor music festival on Saturday, Sept 29, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at Jack’s Urban Meeting Place (JUMP) 1000 Myrtle St, Boise. The WIPE AWAY THE BLUES FESTIVAL will feature six local blues bands and a special performance from the Boise Philharmonic. Attendees are asked to bring at least one package of baby wipes as a donation to the Idaho Diaper Bank. People can also support the cause by visiting Astegos.org and clicking on the link that says Wipe Away the Blues. Information about Astegos.org: Astegos.org was founded in February 2017. Through their three programs Astegos.org has been extremelysuccessful. In their first year the Astegos.org street outreach fed more than 10,000 meals from the astegos.org food cart. They were able to provide over 500 free hours of counseling through the Astegos.org counseling center. Finally, the Astegos.org transitional housing program was able to assist 28 families out of homelessness in their first year!

Information about The Idaho Diaper Bank: By focusing on diaper need, the Idaho Diaper Bank (IDB) works to meet the basic needs of Idaho children and families. Our vision is to ensure every diaper wearing person in Idaho has access to the diapers and diapering supplies they need to remain clean, dry, happy and healthy. This includes babies, the elderly and anyone else who may need diapering supplies. Our mission is to collaborate with community partners throughout the state to mobilize efforts to make a difference in the lives of the 52% of Idaho babies aged three or younger who live in poor or low- income families.
